Bids & RFPs

In addition to procuring goods & services from County & NYS purchase contracts, competitive bids are required for the purchase of materials or equipment in excess of $10,000. The threshold for public works or building contracts (labor & material) is $30,000. Bids are advertised in the Press-Sun Bulletin in the legal ads.

Bids are typically advertised EIGHT (8) business days prior to the bid opening. The bid advertisement contains information as to the nature of the bid, due date & time, and where to obtain bid documents.

Invitation for Bids

Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Contract and Supply, City of Binghamton, City Hall, 38 Hawley Street, Binghamton, New York, 13901, until 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 11, 2020.  Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the 11:00 a.m. meeting for the following work.

Requests for Proposals (RFP)

Proposals will be received by the Board of Contract and Supply, 38 Hawley St, City Hall, Binghamton, New York, 13901 until 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 25, 2020.  For the following work:

RFP FOR MIXED USE DEVELOPMENT OF 183 WATER STREET AND A PORTION OF 13 COURT STREET

The RFP may be obtained at the Office of the Purchasing Agent, Second Floor, 38 Hawley St., City Hall, Binghamton, New York, 13901 by calling at (607) 772-7025 or by downloading it from the City’s website under the Bids/RFP section.

Invitation to apply for the City of Binghamton’s Clean Energy Community Grant Program (CEC-CGP), made possible by funding from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). The CEC-CGP was created to help homeowners pursue clean energy projects that will contribute to the City’s initiatives to improve the environment by using less energy and creating clean energy production opportunities. The CEC-CGP will reimburse applicant for 50% of the total project cost up to $5,000.
