(BINGHAMTON, N.Y.) — Mayor Richard C. David on Friday issued the following statement:
"We continue to monitor flooding in Binghamton. I again spoke with the Governor's Office today on the flooding threat. While we believe rivers will crest at below major flood stage in Binghamton, our Police, Fire and Public Works departments remain on standby and are monitoring conditions.
"The Binghamton Fire Departments has pumped out water from nine City properties since Thursday night. If residents need help pumping out their basements, they should contact BFD headquarters at (607) 772-7133.
"Merry Christmas, everyone. Please share any photos of the Chenango or Susquehanna rivers, or creeks and streams from your neighborhoods."
