Mayor David Declares State Of Emergency In City of Binghamton


(BINGHAMTON, N.Y.) — Mayor Richard C. David has declared a general state of emergency for the City of Binghamton effective 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, March. 14.

Residents are urged to stay off roads in the City of Binghamton except for essential or emergency travel.

Residents are also asked to assist the City in clearing snow around fire hydrants in their neighborhoods.

The City's full fleet of plow trucks, operated by Dept. of Public Works, Parks Dept. and Water Dept. personnel, is deployed focusing on emergency routes and main thoroughfares.
