Free City Event Returns to West Side Next Three Weekends
(BINGHAMTON, N.Y.)—Mayor Jared M. Kraham on Wednesday announced details of the annual holiday carousel rides at Recreation Park on Binghamton's West Side, scheduled for December 7th, 14th and 21st.
Mayor Kraham said: "The annual holiday carousel rides at Recreation Park have become a beloved Binghamton tradition for so many families and a fun way for residents of all ages to celebrate the season. Our Parks & Recreation Department does an incredible job each year decorating the historic carousel and offering the community a fun, free holiday celebration. It's events like these that help make Binghamton a great place to live and raise a family."
The carousel at Recreation Park will be open to the public the first three Saturdays in December from 5–8pm for the annual holiday event. As always, the carousel is free to ride.
Other free festivities include hay rides, photos with Santa, ice skating (weather dependent) and a horse-drawn carriage.
Broome County Toys for Tots will be accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys for local families in need.
The Binghamton Youth Sports Association will be selling hot chocolate and treats to benefit youth sports programming in Binghamton.
