Mayor Kraham to Join Local Business for 'Fill the Trolley' Toy Drive at Recreation Park
Mayor Kraham, Foam It Insulation Invite Residents to Donate New, Unwrapped Toys for Broome County Toys for Tots
(BINGHAMTON, N.Y.)—Mayor Jared M. Kraham will hold a "Fill the Trolley" toy drive in partnership with Foam It Insulation on Saturday, December 14th at Recreation Park to support Broome County Toys for Tots.
Mayor Kraham said: "Every kid in Binghamton deserves to have a special holiday season. I'm inviting residents to stop by Rec Park this weekend and help us fill the green Foam It Insulation trolley with toys for local kids in need. The toy drive will support the Broome County Toys for Tots program, which is run by members of local law enforcement and has helped provide families in our community with holiday joy for decades."
Saturday's toy drive will take place from noon to 2pm in the upper parking lot of Recreation Park, off College Street and next to the basketball court.
Mayor Kraham and representatives from Foam It Insulation, based on Emma Street in Binghamton, will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for Broome County Toys for Tots.
Donations will be loaded onto a green trolley owned by Foam It Insulation and delivered to the Toys for Tots headquarters following the toy drive.
The Broome County Toys for Tots program is run by local law enforcement agencies, including the Binghamton Police Department. Since 1962, the program has collected new toys to help local families in need provide gifts for their children during the holidays. Binghamton Police officers have led the program for the last several years.
Broome County Toys for Tots serves local children ages 1 to 10. All toys and proceeds raised help families living in Broome County.
The deadline for families interested in signing up to receive help from the program is Saturday, December 14th. For more information, visit broomecountytoysfortots.org.
