In addition to procuring goods and services from County and NYS purchase contracts, competitive bids are required for the purchase of materials or equipment in excess of $10,000. The threshold for public works or building contracts (labor and material) is $30,000. Bids are advertised in the Press&Sun Bulletin in the legal ads.
Bids are typically advertised EIGHT (8) business days prior to the bid opening. The bid advertisement contains information as to the nature of the bid, due date and time, and where to obtain bid documents.

Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Contract and Supply, City of Binghamton, City Hall, Second Floor, 38 Hawley Street, Binghamton, New York, 13901, until 10:30am on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the 11:00am meeting for the following work:

For the contract documents and plans please call the Office of the City Engineer, 607-772-7007, to coordinate pick up. Copies may be obtained by a $50.00, non-refundable, payment (check or money order, payable to the City of Binghamton) per disk.
