A central role of the Planning Department is to develop the plans and studies which are used to inform policy, investment, and development decisions in the City of Binghamton. These plans and studies are intended to provide guidance to developers, City officials, other City departments, and other regulatory bodies.

Broome County Plans & Studies

In addition to the plans and studies produced for or by the City, there are a number of other plans and studies developed by Broome County.

Clinton Street Neighborhood Business District Revitalization Plan

The Clinton Street Neighborhood Business District (CSNBD) Revitalization Plan aims to:

Set forth a vision and goals supported by the community
Provide recommendations about how to achieve those goals
Help the City plan improvements to the neighborhood over time
Include research and a streetscape design process
Identify potential renovation or new construction projects
Support a New York State Downtown Revitalization Initiative ask and requests for other funding for implementation of projects

Comprehensive Plan
